The Cook County medical examiner's office on Saturday had not yet released the cause of death for a Lansing man whose body was found last week.
Matthew Urdiales, 40, was found Thursday night in a frozen retention ditch in front of Heritage Middle School in Lansing.
Officials said Saturday there was no obvious sign of what caused Urdiales' death.
An autopsy report was pending toxicology reports. Samples of blood and urine have been sent to a lab for testing, officials said. The report will be released once those tests have been completed.
According to a flier distributed by family members, Urdiales was last seen Dec. 6 leaving Margarita's Restaurant in Lynwood.
