LANSING | Cougar Fitness Camp was a Friday night filled with parent, student and teacher volunteers who are interested in a healthy lifestyle. Nutritionist and personal trainer from Changing You for You, Zumba instructor Bridgett Annicks, Advantage Point and Dancin’ Around Town were all available providing classes.
Melanie Harenberg demonstrated the Coolidge Summer Dance program and Kelly Ryan led a “Shake It” workout. Students were encouraged to try healthy snacks and participate in an oatmeal taste test challenge. In addition Subway, the Southwest Food Co-op, and Great Harvest Bread Company were a part of the event, and PLS donated bouncy balls and pedometers.
It was a fun evening filled with fitness and nutritious eating. Coolidge looks forward to another successful fair in the spring!
