LANSING | T.F. South graduate and New York Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson, a native of Lynwood, was in the area Thursday to spend time with little leaguers at the sports complex where he played as a teen.

Granderson distributed medallions to players and posed for photos following a warm-up session with two teams of kids before an all-star match-up. He also introduced his parents and offered a few words of advice and congratulations to players on their hard work during the season.

He also funded a trip for a group of little leaguers earlier in the week at U.S. Cellular Field as he was in town for the Yankees series against the Chicago White Sox.
