LANSING | A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after threatening to shoot his girlfriend and mother, police said.
Daniel Lopez was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm without a registration card.
Lansing police were called at 7:40 p.m. to 18550 Torrence Ave. for a domestic dispute and were told a man was armed with a gun and had threatened to shoot his girlfriend and the woman's mother.
Police initially were told he had barricaded himself in an apartment. Officers closed a portion of Torrence Avenue, and the SWAT team was on scene.
Officers were able to reach Lopez by phone and later learned he was not in the apartment. He surrendered himself to police Wednesday night.
Officers found a shotgun in the apartment, police said.
