LANSING | The Tropria Aero Club located at the Lansing Municipal Airport will begin flight ground school on Sept. 20 at the Chicago Business Air Center, 3259 Airport Drive.
Instructor Jonathon Clear will hold ground school from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays for six weeks through Oct. 2. Students will learn about navigation, aerodynamics, communication, and concepts before they take to the skies. The Lansing Municipal Airport is at the corner of Burnham Avenue and Glenwood-Lansing Road.
Future pilots who choose to obtain their flying licenses at the Lansing Municipal Airport will have a variety of airplanes to choose from, including a Cessna 172, and a Piper Cherokee.
