LASNING | LARC, a nonprofit organization providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, will be hosting its 21st annual fall fish fry fundraiser, “Friends Helping Friends,” from 4 p.m. to midnight Sept. 27 at its facility, 19043 Wentworth Ave.
Glenwood Oaks Restaurant will again be providing the fish, shrimp and hot dog dinners. The costs are $15 for lake perch, $15 for shrimp, $16 for the combo and $5 for hot dogs. Again this year chicken strips will also be served, dinners cost $6. Dinner includes coleslaw, french fries, a roll, dessert and coffee. Carry-out dinners are also available. Pop, beer, wine, root beer floats, nachos, walking tacos and popcorn will be available for purchase in the beer garden.
A raffle will take place that evening with the chance to win a total of $2,000 in cash prizes.
All proceeds from this event benefit LARC, which serves adults with developmental disabilities. LARC offers vocational training, residential and employment opportunities to nearly 100 individuals with developmental disabilities in the south suburbs and parts of Northwest Indiana.
