LANSING | Police said two brothers missing since Saturday were found Monday shortly after authorities issued a news alert seeking the public's help in finding them.

Neighbors saw David Surratt, 10, and Charles Surratt, 13, in the area of the 2100 block of 175th Street in Lansing and contacted the police. The boys were located in an apartment a few blocks away from their home in the 17700 block of Rosewood Drive.

The boys told detectives they slept outdoors in a field near their home.

According to police, the boys were last seen Saturday afternoon near their home.
