LANSING | Lansing Elementary School District 158 will conduct kindergarten registration in March at Lester Crawl School, 18300 Greenbay Ave., the district announced Thursday.
Registration will be for children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 1. Registration times are from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. on the following dates:
* March 4 for students in the Coolidge attendance area
* March 5 for students in the Oak Glen attendance area
* March 6 for students in the Reavis attendance area
To register, parents need to bring their child's original birth certificate and Social Security number and one of the following: a real estate tax bill; current signed lease, including names of all residents; mortgage papers (warranty or trust deed); or a signed HUD I closing statement. Parents must also bring two of the following: driver's license or state ID; Illinois auto registration; home/apartment or auto insurance papers; most recent utility bill, such as gas, electric, cable or water, two such bills will be accepted. No phone bills accepted.
At registration, parents will be given an appointment for the child's kindergarten screening, which will also take place in March.

The screening process will include: hearing/vision, speech/language, concepts and motor skills. All parents will be provided results of their child's development through a personal interview and written communication.
All screenings take place at Lester Crawl School.
