LANSING | At the March meeting of the Lansing Historical Society, the society commemorated Women's History Month with a presentation by author Kathryn Atwood about "Women Heroes of World War II."

Atwood is the author of "Women Heroes of World War II: 26 Stories of Espionage, Sabotage, Resistance, and Rescue."

Her presentation included stories of women who acted in various roles within the European theatre, including a spy, an assassin and a women, who with her husband helped hide dozens of Jews from the Nazis.

Following the presentation, Atwood signed copies of her book.
