LANSING | The Lansing Public Library, 2750 Indiana Ave., invites the public to participate in its November programs for adults. For more information or to register contact the Adult Services Desk in person or call (708) 474-2447 or register online at www.lansingpl.org.

Adult Book Discussions

Reality Check adult book discussion will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Lansing Public Library. The book discussed will be “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” by John Berendt. Copies are available at the upstairs circulation desk.

Murder and Mayhem adult book discussion will meet at 11 a.m. Nov. 19 at the Lansing Public Library. The book discussed will be “Killing Floor” by Lee Child. Copies are available at the upstairs circulation desk.

Friends of the Library Book Sale is Nov. 9. Members only shop from 9 to 10 a.m. and the general public from 10 a.m. to p.m. Membership available at the door. There is an ongoing book sale located in the Fiction and Beyond Department.

Adult Programs

Holiday Cookies Made Easy with Sue Powell at 10 a.m. Nov. 14. Class size strictly limited to 24 adults only. Registration is required.

What Your Lip Print Reveals from 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 16. Join us as Lipsologist Michael Kett tells us all about the art of lip and palm print readings. Registration required, limited space.

Paper Creations Classes from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 21.

November project is Photo Vignette. This program is limited to 12 Lansing Library card holders. Your Library Card is needed to register for this program.

Monday Morning Movies  at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, Dec. 9 and Jan. 13.

Every second Monday of the month we will be showing one of the hot new releases in the Community Room. No registration is required, however seating is limited at each screening to 60. For more information on the scheduled titles, call Fiction and Beyond. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Computer Classes at the Lansing Public Library.

Registration is required and is limited to 10 Lansing Library card holders. Must have library card to register. Classes are 1 1/ 2 to 2  hours in length.

Dead Relative’s Society will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 23.

Calumet River Creative Writers Group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 16.

Purls of Wisdom Knitters and Crochet Circle will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 and from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 8 and 22. 

The Lansing Business Women's Association is cutting and sorting coupons for military families overseas. The coupons can be used six months past the expiration date at their commissary. Join us on the first Monday of every month at the Lansing Public Library in the Community Room. We meet 9:30 a.m. to noon and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bring scissors and any coupons you may have.
