LANSING | Lansing police are seeking the public's help in finding a teen who robbed a girl of her iPhone at gunpoint in broad daylight in a McDonald's parking lot earlier this month.
According to police, at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 4, Lansing police were called to the McDonald's at 17810 Torrence Ave. for a report of an armed robber. When officers arrived, a girl told them she was approached in the parking lot by a black male between 16 and 20 years old wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a dark gray hat.
The male pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the girl and demanded her iPhone before fleeing on foot. The girl was not hurt in the incident, police said.
Lansing police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Police said Monday the investigation is ongoing. They are asking anyone with information related to the crime to contact the Lansing Police Department at (708) 895-7150.
