LANSING | This Lent, St. Ann School students are strengthening their faith through prayer and service.

The students are collecting items for the South Suburban Humane Society in Chicago Heights.

Each class has a collection box decorated for the animals/God's creatures. They are collecting paper towels, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, Purina cat/kitten/dog chow, peanut butter, AA batteries, rabbit and guinea pig food, Kleenex, 55-gallon garbage bags, small rugs, towels, and disposable gloves.

If you would like to contribute any items to the cause, you may drop them at the St. Ann Parish Office, 3010 Ridge Road.
