LANSING | Calvin Coolidge Elementary students Jose Aguilera and Alexia Lopez demonstrated their wiki skills to the Lansing District 158 School Board recently.
The fourth-graders created a wiki space they use to facilitate book clubs, science experiments, social studies events and vocabulary.
A wiki is a space on the World Wide Web where people can share work and ideas, pictures and links, videos and media.
Parents and students can log in to the wiki space from home at anytime and hold discussions about various books or other curricular matters.
In the presentation, the students noted they like being able to communicate with each other about school while at home.
