Lansing village clerk wins chili cook-off

LANSING | Village Clerk Patty Eidam won the chili cook-off that took place Oct. 14 during the Lansing Autumn Fest at Lansing Fire Station No. 1.

Judges rated each chili on several criteria, including consistency, aroma and taste. The public was also invited to taste and vote for their favorite chili. There were three winners from the judge's ratings and one people's choice award.

Nancy Noworyta, of Lansing, placed second and Brian Bonic, a Calumet City firefighter, placed third and won the People's Choice Award.
