LANSING | LARC will hold its annual walk-a-thon and dinner on May 18. Registration will start at noon with the walk beginning at 1 p.m. T-shirt order forms and sponsorship envelopes are available in the LARC public relations office, 19043 Wentworth Ave.
Participants are asked to solicit sponsorship money for the organization. After the walk a dinner will be served by Mancino’s Restaurant of Lansing and music provided by 219 Productions.
Costs are $15 to walk and for lunch (if funds are raised, which includes a T-shirt with advance registration) and $10 for just lunch. To eat and walk without raising funds, the cost is $20. Walkers alone can register for $10. Walk-a-thon T-shirts will be available for $10 with a small quantity of shirts the day of the walk on a first come first serve basis. Dinner reservations must be made by May 9.
All funds raised at the walk-a-thon and all other LARC fundraisers are used completely for the continued support of the efforts to serve the developmentally disabled. For more information about the walk-a-thon, contact Lisa Vale or Garry Buell at (708) 474-1540.
