LANSING | LARC, a non-profit organization that provides services to people with developmental disabilities, will hold its 17th annual golf outing Aug. 5 at Lincolnshire Country Club in Crete.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration. At 11 a.m. there will be an all you care to eat buffet lunch will be served and the putting contest where $10,000 can be won starts ($5,000 to the putter and $5,000 to LARC).

Eighteen holes of golf begin at 12:30 p.m. with a shot gun start and complimentary beverages available through the whole round. After every golfer is off the course, a cocktail hour takes place including another all you care to eat buffet dinner featuring beef and pork carving stations.

The outing’s newest game, a skins game, will again be adding additional excitement to the game. Tickets for this full day of events remain only $150 per person, which is tax deductible. Tickets for dinner only remain $40.

Lincolnshire is a private golf course and the only way for non-members to play there is with a member or through outings such as this one. There will be multiple prize holes including one where a new grill can be won. Other prizes will be available to be won and gifts will be given to every golfer.

LARC provides services to more than 100 developmentally disabled adults through a wide array of programs including developmental training, job placement, supported employment, and community living arrangements.

All funds from this golf outing, and all LARC fundraisers, (annual dinner in the early spring, walk-a thon in the spring and fish fry in the fall) benefit LARC and help us to reach toward our mission of providing supports and services that promote quality, dignity and choice and sill assist individuals with developmental disabilities achieve outcomes of independence in their lives.
