SCHERERVILLE | LARC, a nonprofit organization providing services to people with developmental disabilities, will host its annual appreciation dinner April 12, at Villa Cesare, 900 Eagle Ridge Drive.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will celebrate LARC’s continuing tradition of serving people with developmental disabilities in Lansing and other south suburban communities. The evening will include recognition of LARC employees, supporters and clients for their exceptional service within the organization.
Tickets for the dinner are $50 per person and include hors d’oeurves, a plated meal and open refreshment bar during the entire evening.
We are continuing many features at this year’s dinner including a cash raffle where the winner gets 50 percent of the amount of tickets sold. Tickets are available from LARC staff, families, friends and Lansing Minuteman Press, 17930 Torrence Ave., and are $1 each or six for $5. There also will be a “Pick-A-Prize” raffle where anyone at our dinner can buy tickets at $1 each and drop them into containers by each prize for a chance to win. The purchaser can choose to put all of them into different containers or all into one container, to increase their chances of winning.
Also this year, there will be a condo raffle where a person can win a prescheduled week at a condo on the Gulf of Mexico donated by Gary and Pat Jensen, of Jensen Building, and a $500 VISA gift card. There will also be silent auction items featuring dining certificates from some of the area’s and Chicago’s best restaurants and many themed baskets. There is also a silent auction featuring an overnight stay in Chicago, sports tickets and a grill from Gus Bock Ace Hardware in Lansing.
To purchase a ticket stop by LARC, at 19043 Wentworth Ave. in Lansing. For more information contact Garry Buell or Lisa Vale at (708) 474-1540.
LARC provides services to more than 100 developmentally disabled adults through a wide array of programs including developmental training, job placement, supported employment and community living arrangements. All funds that are raised at this dinner and other LARC fundraisers are used wholly for the continued support of its efforts to serve the developmentally disabled.
