LANSING | An undercover sting operation targeting prostitutes at area hotels resulted in four arrests in Lansing last week.

The operation involved officers from Lansing and South Holland, the FBI and the Cook County Sheriff's Department's vice unit.

Lt. Steve Roberts, spokesman for the Lansing Police Department, said the arrests took place at "several hotels in Lansing" on Wednesday afternoon. The names of the hotels and motels were not released.

Maya Brooks, 19, of Chicago; Desiree Wilds, 20, of Milwaukee, Wisc.; Bianca Perkins, 21, of Harvey and Crystal Miles, 26, of Romeoville, Ill. were arrested and charged with prostitution.

All of the women were released on bond.

A vehicle with two men inside was seen dropping off one of the women and was stopped by officers during the investigation.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and charges related to prostitution may be pending.
