HAMMOND | The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority participated in Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association’s 2013 Hospitality Leadership Day at the Indiana State House on Feb. 20. The event brought both business leaders and legislators together for the event.
After an issue briefing covering legislative issues that affect the hospitality industry, attendees enjoyed a “Taste of Hoosier Hospitality” lunch with food provided by several different restaurants.
The event allows participating businesses from the hospitality industry to meet face-to-face with legislators to educate them about their businesses. The luncheon also serves as an opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
“We enjoy participating in this event because it shows the cohesion of hospitality leaders across the state,” President and CEO of the South Shore CVA Speros Batistatos said.
