LANSING | Thornton Fractional South High School, 18500 Burnham Ave., is hosting the Future Rebel Baseball Clinic on March 8, the school has announced.
Players will receive hands-on training from T.F. South’s coaching staff and players. Players will develop baseball skills that will help them in their upcoming season as well as to develop long-term expectations of what it is like to play at the high school level.
The clinic is for ages 6-10 and 11-14. Registration is at 2:30 p.m. and clinic is from 3 to 6 p.m. The cost is $30.
The Future Rebel will provide hitting and defense instruction for an all-around experience. During the defensive section of the clinic, the coaching staff will provide instruction in all areas of defensive play. They will cover throwing, fielding ground balls, and catching fly balls. Participants will also be given the opportunity to choose a position to practice during the clinic: pitching, infield, outfield, or catching.
The hitting section includes complete instruction in hitting, focusing on proper techniques and fundamentals. Each player will receive individual instruction and ample hitting time to enhance hitting ability using various drills and hitting equipment.
