T.F. South students wake up to fitness, healthy habits

T.F. South teacher Tim Cocco started "Wake Up Call" exercise and nutrition program for students that meets at 7 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the school's Fitness Center. Cocco says a handful of students participate in the "student-centered wellnes program" that offers a 20- to 25-minute cardio workout, an instuctional component that includes good eating, recipes and life skills, and a nutritious "grab-and-go" breakfast. "If you eat a healthy breakfast, it's linked to healthy test scores and behavior," Cocco said.
