LANSING | T.F. South High School senior Mitchell Seymour speaks before a crowd of more than 200 at the February meeting of the Lansing Historical Society, which was held in cooperation with the T.F. South History Club.
Following a program by Ken Rapier of the DODO Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Seymour talked about the book he'd written about World War II from the perspective of a rifle, called "The Ballad of Serial Number 121211."
He also created a display of war memorabilia that was viewed that evening that included some of his own items and some on loan from a local collector.
Seymour is currently training locally with the U.S. Marine Corps and following graduation will attend boot camp.
