LANSING | Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli donated $2,500 to Lansing Autumn Fest, which is set for Oct. 11 to 13 in downtown Lansing.
The second annual event will take place at Fox Pointe, at Henry Street and Ridge Road, starting with the opening night featuring "Burgers, Brats, Beers and Bands" at 4 p.m. There will be live music with dinner provided by the Lansing Copper Muggers and baked goods provided by St. Ann Church and School.
On Oct. 12, the fest opens at 10 a.m. with a downtown historical walk along with children's activities, musical entertainment, an arts and crafts marketplace and food vendors. There is a $5 admission charge after 4 p.m.
On Oct. 13, the day begins at 10 a.m. with a tribute to veterans, including a multi-denominational worship service, followed by a ceremony honoring the military with musical entertainment provided by the Illiana Christian High School choir, Wolffgang Choir and Liberty Bell, the Great Lakes Naval band.
There is also a chili cook-off and vintage base ball game on Sunday.
