LANSING | The Lansing Police Cadets are gearing up to host a Touch-A-Truck event, and all are welcome to join the fun.

Kids will get a chance to see and touch a variety of emergency, construction and other heavy equipment. There will also be K-9 demonstrations. Child car seat safety checks will also be available.

The event will be held at the Lansing Municipal Airport Historic Ford Hangar on Glenwood-Lansing Road and Burnham Avenue from 10 a.m. to noon April 13. This is an indoor/outdoor event that will be held rain or shine.

Admission costs $20 for a family pass and $5 for single admission. Children under the age of 1 get in free.

All proceeds go to funding the Lansing Police Cadets attending the 2013 Illinois State Law Enforcement Explorer's Conference.
