LYNWOOD | Residents of Wellington Court subdivision will see some unfinished work completed soon.

The Village Board on Tuesday accepted the $260,866.95 bid of Iroquois Paving Corp. The work will include street repairs, street surface coat, sidewalks, some landscaping and some street lighting adjustments, Lynwood Director of Public Works Robert Myers said.

Wellington Court was developed by Montalbano Homes, based in Oakbrook Terrace, which went bankrupt in 2009 and left the work unfinished.

Myers said Lynwood drew $475,000 from a portion of the letter of credit held on the subdivision. That money will be used to pay for the work done by Iroquois Paving.

"The village determined that it was time to begin completing as much of the infrastructure as possible now to benefit the current residents living within Wellington Court subdivision," Myers said.

In other business, Lisa Hooten was sworn in as village treasurer later in the meeting. She was appointed in September.
