SAUK VILLAGE | Students and staff from Wagoner Elementary School  celebrated the 50th birthday of Amelia Bedelia on Jan. 29.

Teachers dressed up as the mixed-up maid and the day was filled with activities. A mystery reader came to each classroom to read aloud an Amelia Bedelia book.

Students had a birthday party for Amelia and learned about Peggy Parrish during library time. Peggy Parrish wrote the beloved Amelia Bedelia books and is famous for her use of idioms.
