SOUTH HOLLAND | The Seton Players of Seton Academy, under the direction of Lisa Ramos, were happy to welcome The Plagiarists (http://www.theplagiarists.org/) on March 26 for a performance workshop.

The Plagiarists are a Chicago-based theater company that works at creating performance pieces rooted in history. This workshop under the direction of Jack Dugan Carpenter, highlighted The Plagiarists’ current original work/production “War Song," which deals with the aftermath of the Civil War known as The Reconstruction.

The students in a two-hour intensive workshop were able to look at historical documents from that era as well as modern texts to create their own performance pieces dealing with the issues of race and class.
