SOUTH HOLLAND | The Verlon W. Braselton Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1983 as the Robinson Foundation by the principals of Robinson Engineering, Ltd., Consulting Registered Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, of South Holland, to assist students seeking careers in civil engineering. The Foundation's name was changed in 1985 to honor the past chairman of the board.

The scholarships are for full-time undergraduate students pursuing college, university or technical educations primarily in the field of civil engineering. Applicants should reside in the Chicago Southland/Northwest Indiana area and have completed a minimum of 25 credit hours.

Applications can be obtained now by contacting the scholarship administrator. Completed applications need to be received by May 30 to be considered for the 2014-15 academic year. Some students may be ineligible to participate due to certain restrictions.
