SOUTH HOLLAND | The South Holland Police Department, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police, will conduct a seat belt enforcement zone during the Christmas and New Year’s Click It or Ticket campaign.

The goal of the campaign is not about giving out tickets to violators. The goal is to prevent injuries and fatalities by influencing people to buckle up when driving or riding in a motor vehicle. The seat belt enforcement will occur between noon and 3 p.m. Dec. 30 at 164th Street and South Park Avenue.

In addition to this checkpoint, the South Holland Police Department will have extra patrol officers canvassing the community to identify violators of the seat belt law.
