SOUTH HOLLAND | The Intruders will headline the entertainment at this year's Taste of Thornton Township from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Thornton Township Hall, 333 E. 162nd St.
The Intruders will be on stage at 5 p.m. The group is known for such 1970s hits at "Cowboys to Girls," "We'll Be United," "When We Get Married," and "I'll Always Love My Mama," according to a news release from Thornton Township.
Other entertainment includes the Thornton Township Youth Mexican Dance Group, Dawn and the Dancin' Deevas, The Chicago Boys Acrobats, a Michael Jackson tribute by Rico, Cultural Mix Past Life band and the South Side Divas.
There will also be food vendors, crafters, bingo, free rides for the children and visits from Elmo, Minnie, Sponge Bob and many more.
The event is sponsored by MB Financial, Ma'Dear Home Services Inc., Gatlings Funeral Home, Excel Mailing and Marketing, Providence Bank and Sam's Club.
