SOUTH HOLLAND | Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli will host a Martin Luther King Day event starting at 10 a.m. Monday at South Suburban College's Kindig Performing Arts Center, 15800 S. State St., according to a news release.
The Rev. Ozzie Smith, of Covenant United Church of Christ in South Holland, will be the keynote speaker. The Thornton Township High School District 205 gospel choir will perform and Zuccarelli will give ending remarks.
The public is invited to the free event, titled "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow - Uplift the Dream and Let Freedom Ring." Light refreshments will be served.
