SOUTH HOLLAND | Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli took the oath of office for his sixth term Monday at Thornton Township Hall to lead senior and youth services for 17 municipalities.

Zuccarelli has been named township supervisor of the year three times and Thornton Township was named township of the year twice in the last 20 years. The township provides services to more than 45,000 senior citizens annually, including senior transportation, holiday dinners, exercise classes and health education fairs.

The township also provides a summer youth jobs program, summer enrichment and after-school programs.
