PARK FOREST | The South Suburban Earth Science Club will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Park Forest Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd.

The SSESC is dedicated to promoting and educating individuals on the study of earth sciences, which includes minerals, archaeology, lapidary arts and processes, fossil collecting, identification and display.

Members and guests will share items from their collections and news on recent fossil and gem shows they attended.

Everyone is welcome to attend, including children older than 6 who are accompanied by an adult.
