STEGER | Police are investigating a shooting Monday night that left two men with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, Police Chief Richard Stultz said.

Police received a report around 7 p.m. Monday of a gunshot victim in the 3300 block of Phillips Avenue, Stultz said. Upon arrival, officers found two men, appearing to be in their early 20s, with gunshot wounds. One man was shot in the leg, the other in the arm. Neither wound was life-threatening, Stultz said.

Neither man could describe the suspects. Stultz said there is more than one shooting suspect but he does not know how many. The suspects fled the area on foot.

"They didn't see them, someone opened fire on them," Stultz said.

If anyone has information related to this incident, they are asked to call the Steger Police Department at (708) 755-0220.
