UNIVERSITY PARK | Local access along Harlem Avenue at Stuenkel Road in University Park and Monee will be accessible in only the northbound direction, according to a news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The traffic pattern change is due to a road project at the Harlem Avenue and Stuenkel Road intersection.

The detour route for northbound Harlem is via eastbound Dralle Road to northbound Ridgeland Avenue to westbound Steger Road back to Harlem Avenue. Southbound Harlem traffic will be detoured via eastbound Steger Road to southbound Ridgeland Avenue to westbound Dralle Road back to Harlem Avenue.

The project is expected to be complete by Oct. 1.
