DEMOTTE | Three people were arrested after police found a methamphetamine lab in the 800 block of Begonia Street, police said.

DeMotte residents Troy Thibodeaux, 39, Cody Neira, 20, and Tara White, 21, were charged with dealing in methamphetamine, possession of precursors and neglect of a dependent.

A child was found in the home and transported to Jasper County Hospital and is now in child protective services, according to a news release from Jasper County sheriff's police.

Officers from the DeMotte Police Department and Indiana State Police, as well as county police, searched the house after receiving information from the sheriff's drug investigation unit.

According to the release, officers found a hydrochloric gas generator in the home, along with other materials used in methamphetamine labs.

White and Neira were wanted on an outstanding warrant for manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine, according to the release.

Thibodeaux was released from prison last summer after being convicted of possession of cocaine in 2009, according to the Indiana Department of Correction website.
