DE MOTTE | With the mission statement "To improve the Town of DeMotte and make it a better place to live, learn and work through personal philanthropy, and to celebrate the power of women," the DeMotte Women's Circle of Giving recently awarded six grants to enhance the quality of life in the community:

  • DeMotte Chamber of Commerce: $500 to be used for entertainment at the Touch of Dutch Festival in 2014
  • Town of DeMotte: $1,000 for the use of security cameras in the parks
  • DeMotte River Valley Soccer Association: $500 to repair equipment in the concession stand
  • DeMotte Little League: $500 to purchase bleachers
  • Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and NW Indiana Troop 32430: $100 to make baskets for The Crisis Center
  • Covenant Christian High School: $1,000 to purchase a kiln for the Art Department.

DeMotte Women's Circle of Giving members donate $100 or more each year. There are currently 14 members in the organization, which was established  10 years ago and has awarded a total of $27,443 to benefit the community.
