The Purdue Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana has applications for two club scholarships available, a Book Scholarship and a Purdue Scholar Award.

Applications for the Purdue Scholar Award are due by Thursday, and this award is available to current PU students who have completed their first year (at least 24 credit hours) at any of the Purdue campuses. The scholarship is worth $1,200 to a resident of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper or Newton counties.

“This is a great year to be a Boilermaker”, said Jon Schmaltz, chairperson of the Scholarship Committee and Indiana North Director with the Purdue Alumni Association. “We are excited about the programs that are developing at Purdue through research and degrees. We are also excited about helping more students from Northwest Indiana choose Purdue by awarding them a scholarship.”

The Book Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who plan on attending any of the Purdue campuses this fall. The scholarship is worth $600 to a graduating high school senior enrolled in a Northwest Indiana high school who excels in both academics and in extracurricular activities.

Applications for the Book Scholarship are due by April 1.

More information about the scholarships is available at www.purduealumni.org/nwindiana/pcnwi-scholarships/, by calling (219) 779-8012 or emailing pcnwi@purduealumni.org.
