RENSSELAER | A union construction worker from Rensselaer is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning Wild Cherry Slots scratch-off Hoosier Lottery ticket Wednesday.

Steve Stone and his wife, Sandy, claimed their prize Thursday at Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis.

"After we looked at it enough times to realize it was probably real, Sandy started crying," Steve Stone said of the winning ticket.

Steve Stone purchased the ticket at Rensselaer Food Mart, 701 McKinley Ave. in Rensselaer.

The Stones said said they will use the jackpot money to pay some bills.
