Kerns, 30, was found about an hour after the hill crumbled, the release states.

He was working for T.J. Lanbrecht Construction downstate on a site that was included in the Hoosier Heartland renovation of Ind. 25.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson Funeral Service of Wheatfield, 352 E. South St. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Pentecostal Church of God, 11787 Ind. 49.
