GARY | Calumet Council Boy Scouts will host "A Shining Light Across America" to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at The Steel Yard, 1 Stadium Plaza.

The public is invited to join Boys Scouts and their leaders from Lake and Porter counties for a live telecast of 100th Anniversary Festival and closing ceremonies from the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia.

There will be an air-walk room, speed pitch, tug-o-war, compass course, First Aid station and more. Ballpark meals will be available for purchase.

Admission is $5 per person, but Boy/Girl Scouts and leaders in uniform will be admitted free.
