TODAY
LESSONS IN LANDSCAPING
Spring is the time to get your lawn into shape. Come check out this free landscaping class taught by Dean's Landscaping. This program takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 20 at Centennial Park, Horizon Salon, Calumet and Superior avenues.
SATURDAY
CASH FOR CLUTTER
Come check out the Community Park Garage Sale "Cash for Clutter" from 8 a.m. to noon May 22. There are 100 participants coming out to display and sell their belongings. The garage sale will take place in the Community Pool parking lot, at the corner of Fisher Street and Calumet Avenue.
TUESDAY
BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Munster parks is hosting its first Battle of the Bands at Centennial Park's entertainment stage on June 26. Only 10 spots available and contestants will be selected by committee. The parks department is taking demos until June 1.
WEDNESDAY
BALLROOM BASICS
Be more comfortable on the dance floor at your next social function. This class, taught by instructors from Gotta Dance Studio of Schereville, will teach you the basic movements of the waltz, swing and rumba and will introduce you to other popular social dances. Classes will be held at Wilbur Wright Middle School in the fitness room, 8650 Columbia Ave. Class will run from 7 to 7:50 p.m. on Wednesdays June 2 through July 21. Fees are $65 for residents and $75 for nonresidents.
LATIN AND SALSA DANCING
Spice up your life while enjoying the Latin beat and getting great exercise as a bonus. Learn the most popular dances in the Latin club scene from instructors of Gotta Dance Studio in Schererville. You will learn the basic movements to the salsa, rumba and merengue as well as be introduced to more popular club dances. Classes will be held at Wilbur Wright Middle School in the fitness room, 8650 Columbia Ave. Class will run from 8 to 8:50 p.m. on Wednesdays June 2 through July 21. Fees are $65 for residents and $75 for nonresidents.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT
Munster Parks and Recreation's Summer Enrichment is building a brighter future once again this year. A wide variety of classes are offered this summer such as art, crafts, fitness, math, media, music, reading, Science, social studies, writing classes and more. Frank H. Hammond Elementary School is the location for the program this year for ages from preschool to eighth grade. Classes are from 8:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays June 14 through July 12. Fees start at $60 per class. Class catalog can be found at Munster Parks and Recreation and the local schools.
