INDIANAPOLIS | Lake County election fraud allegations will be on the agenda today when Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita speaks in Washington, D.C., to the Republican members of two U.S. House of Representatives committees.
Rokita, a Munster Republican, will testify about his investigation into allegations ACORN submitted thousands of illegitimate voter registration cards to Lake County elections officials ahead of the 2008 general election.
The secretary of state asked Lake County and federal prosecutors to bring charges against ACORN. Neither has done so. -- By Dan Carden, The Times
