Now that the holidays are over and all we have left are the snow and cold, are you thinking of spring yet?
The Crown Point Community Foundation is with "Spring into Action." For the first time, the foundation will host an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to set up a booth - from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 6 in the Crown Point High School cafeteria - and give the public a chance to learn more about community organizations.
Representatives from more than 30 organizations will be describe and the ways visitors can volunteer. If you are a high school student looking for ways to earn service hours, a retiree looking to keep busy, a newcomer to the area, or a citizen looking for ways to help others, this fair is for you.
Any nonprofit organization and interested in setting up a booth can call the foundation at (219) 662-7282.
