Summer may be over, but there is still plenty happening in the Hub City. This Saturday, downtown Crown Point has a lot to offer children and adults of every age.
Buy it from Troop 45
Boy Scout Troop 45 will hold its annual garage sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the parking lot of Ron and Son's, South Main and Walnut Street.
Donations are still being accepted from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the First Presbyterian Church, 218 S. Court St. If you would like to donate items but need help bringing them to the Scouts, call Mary at (219) 662-8047 to arrange for a home pickup.
Congratulations to the troop's two newest Eagle Scouts, Casey Paczkowski and C.J. Hopp. For Casey's Eagle project, he removed the brick patio on the west side of the Old Lake County Court House, planted grass and made covers for the air conditioning units. C.J. made flag holders for the veteran's graves at Maplewood Cemetery.
