Merrillville High School Key Club, a division of the Merrillville Kiwanis Club, is rounding up all the best chili cooks in the area for the Great Chili Cook-Off.
All proceeds will benefit the Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter. There will be celebrity judges, clowns, door prizes, DJ music, a bake sale and auctions, all from 3 to 6 p.m. March 6 in the Merrillville High School cafeteria, 276 E. 68th Place. Use Entrance J.

Donation is $5 which to sample the all the chili entries and vote for your favorite.

Winter basketball
The Fieldhouse in Merrillville is signing up Corporate and Church League basketball teams for winter play.
Team Divisions will include: Corporate, Church, Women’s, Men’s, Open and 30 and Over. Deadline to register is Jan. 31.
