GRIFFITH | Life For The World, a nonprofit supporting the Haitian orphanage founded by Hammond resident Michael Fedele, will hold a Feed Haiti Event from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
The event will be held at the American Legion Hall at 132 Wiggs St. in Griffith.
Tickets, which are $10 each, include a hot dog, chips and soft drink. Live entertainment, face painting and vendors will be available.
All proceeds will go to Life For The World, which currently is undertaking the rebuilding of the orphanage. The orphanage and other facilities were damaged in the January earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince. - By Times Staff
