MERRILLVILLE | Deep River Waterpark will host a family friendly New Year's Eve celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 31 at the park's ice skating plaza, 9001 E. U.S. 30.

Admission is $5 per person, and regular skate rental fees apply for those who need to rent skates.

Children can make crafts from 5 to 8 p.m., and the park will count down the new year at 8.
