HAMMOND | The Purdue University Calumet Big Sell Entrepreneurship Competition will bring together innovators and entrepreneurs from across the United States on Saturday.

Participants will be competing for thousands of dollars in cash, accounting, marketing and legal services, business plan assistance and office space at the Hammond INnovation Center.

The Big Sell is at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza. Tickets are $25 per person and include a continental breakfast, lunch and snacks, the ability to electronically vote for the best ideas presented and the opportunity to network with business professionals.

Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. The competition and voting will begin at 9.

During lunch, a keynote address will be given by James Dreher, founder and managing partner of Option 3.

Once finalists are named, a final pitch will be presented beginning at 2 p.m. The winner's finale begins at 2:30 p.m.

The Big Sell’s expert panel of judges includes Speros Batistatos, president and CEO of the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority; Dreher; Donald L. Babcock, director of economic development for NIPSCO; and David Bochnowski, chairman and CEO of Peoples Bank.
