CEDAR LAKE | The developer of a proposed auto repair and servicing shop got a vote in his favor at the Cedar Lake Town Council meeting Tuesday night.

The Council approved variance of special use for John Boersma, upon a unanimous favorable recommendation from the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Boersma wants to open his auto shop at 10501 W. 133rd Ave., a site located in a M-1 light industrial zoning district.

The approval came with some restrictions. For example, Boersma will not be able to keep more than one client car parked outside at a time on the site.
